Hi Ricardo and Team,

Attached is the draft of the questions for our meeting later this week.

Ricardo, I realize that you and the team are sorting out some details so there are questons we developed as a placeholder in your section. When there are updates from your group then you can send out a revised version of this document ahead of our meeting. It is early here but getting later in the day elsewhere and I realize that you were concerned that everyone have the document in time.

We (Erika, Selma, myself) have had some good discussions and have moved things along together and within our teams in the past few weeks. We have a pretty solid plan for the qualitative study and would like to discuss a few things with the team in our meeting:

1) Thoughts on the question set: Do they now reflect the WP findings/interests, and seem to be a coherent whole (see attached document, begins on p5).
2) Updates: next steps with the question set.
3) Discussion: the potential role of the SB with the qualitative study.
4) Qualitative study conduct going forward: details on the study, people, plans for publication(s).

Talk with you all soon!

Best wishes,
Janet

Subject: [Futuregen] Qual study inputs ahead of next zoom and agenda for 29.4

Dear all,

Ahead of our next zoom, here is some information that we would require
ahead of the next zoom, as well as a proposed agenda and a few points
still regarding the SB meeting at the end.

Janet and Selma, our next zoom will focus very much on the qualitative
study.
Please send us by the end of the day of the 27.4 a complete and final
document describing the qualitative study, with the necessary sections
ready for ethics submission. This includes also the questions/prompts
you would like to ask interviewees or/and supporting material you want
to share with interviewees (if that is the case).
As Susan suggested, please leave the track changes out.
Feel free to reach out to WPs if you require any input or clarification.
As we did for the other WP presentations for the SB, please think of
what you would like to get from the SB and how you plan to engage them
in the meeting, so that we can discuss that as well.

As for the next meeting,
Agenda for zoom:
13h30-14h45: qualitative study discussion, including the qual study
session in the SB
14h45-15h30: pending questions regarding the SB meeting from previous
zoom

Regarding the pending questions stated above, I'm just waiting for the
minutes to be completed so that we can detail them.

There are two issues that came to my mind regarding the SB as I was
preparing the agenda and that I share with you in advance:
i) COVID: this is actually likely to come up early on, so it might be
useful to make just passing reference to this in the opening (that this
is also one issue we will discuss in the context of each WP, if deem
relevant by SB members). I also added 10 more minutes to this session -
shortened the lunch break to 1h - as there are always questions arising
at the introduction and we will have one or two "new" SB members
attending and we should allow them to introduce themselves.
See doc attached (still waiting for some inputs, so it's not final).

ii) It just occurred to me that we are quite "past"-oriented in our SB
meeting: we ask comments mostly about what we did.
We will discuss the future in the last session but that might not be
enough.
Without wanting to overload an already very dense program, maybe we can
add a slide at the end of each WP presentation with the next
steps/tasks.

Best wishes,
Ricardo
