Hi Ricardo and Everyone,
Happy new year!
I’m looking at the thoughts submitted by the groups on the purpose of
the qualitative study and there seem to be some similarities between
them. I’m not sure what Susan and Afshin are thinking as their results
may be directing their thinking differently ... but I’m sure we can sort
something out. It seems as if there are some common thoughts around
determining how people perceive ‘aging well’, a focus on function rather
than diagnosis et cetera.
I wondered if it might be possible to circulate the original section
about the qualitative study?
I also wondered (and this is just a thought) if you might engage the SB
in development of the research questions for the qualitative study? I’m
not sure if you have been sharing information all along or what is
happening with them.
Having their involvement at this stage could be very helpful and
strengthen the qualitative part of the work. Or - perhaps they could
participate in a focus group of some sort...there are many possibilities.
But first, perhaps revisiting what the proposal said it would do might
be wise, so that there is clear justification (to the funder, the SB?)
about any changes.
A few thoughts and I look forward to listening to everyone’s views tomorrow!
Best wishes,
Janet
