Dear Janet,
I send you the brief summary of the discussion we had after you left the
zoom yesterday. As you can see, we would like you to take the lead on this.
We did not discuss the timeline during the zoom. I had a quick chat with
Ricardo and Eszter later during the day and we thought that in order to
present our plan for the qualitative study to the SB, it would be great
to have the statement on the study, a description of the involvement of
the SB and (if possible) a very first draft of the questionnaire by end
of March/before the next zoom on 25 March.
Please let the the team know if you want to amend anything and/or if you
have any questions.
I'm very much looking forward to collaborating on the qualitative study!
Best wishes,
Selma
_qualitative study - next steps:_
Janet to go once more over the statement on the qualitative study and to
send it to FUTUREGEN team
Janet to develop interview questionnaire (with collaborators; Stefan
will be involved for the Swedish team since the new SE team member will
not start before data collection begins)
_'guidelines' for qualitative study:___
- diversity in terms of gender is very important for all teams
- some diversity in terms of socioeconomic status (could be e.g.
education, income, both, etc.)
- some diversity in terms of age: 60+ but also some people who are older
(aim not only healthy 61 year olds)
- consider screening for cognitive impairments beforehand to make sure
we don’t include participants with cognitive impairments (how this is
done can be different in each country)
- consider approach re: interviewing people with relatives being present
(can be advantageous, if interviewee wishes others to be present;
depending on questions also impact on answers)
