When discussing the use of household income I remembered this report from EU-SILC on the degree of pooling of incomes within households. It might not be very relevant in relation to the question of how respondents interpret and answer survey questions, however, it could perhaps be useful if you discuss household income as an SEP measure.
In regards to household income they say that their findings " reinforce the suspicion that assuming income pooling is a very strong assumption, that it is very likely that the household members are not necessarily equal (at least in terms of their ability to make decisions about their own consumption) and that intra-household equality does not necessarily follow full income pooling. These are serious incentives to investigate ways of computing alternative / complementary indicators, if not to correct the standard methodology. “How to do this” remains an entire question."
Best,
Johan

Hi again,
I think there are many different studies that use methods that regresses aggregate health outcomes on lagged social variables - but this is the one I had top of mind when we spoke today (see the attached file).
All the best,
/S
PS. I've emailed Isaac Sasson about the slides from his presentation. I'll get back to you when I hear back from him.

Dear all,
Tomorrow we will have our project meeting at 13h30-15h30 CET, with the following agenda:
i) Qualitative study: progress, sampling and data sharing agreement (25
minutes)
ii) Continuing discussion on RQ 4.2 (below a reminder from the last
meeting) (95 minutes)
-How do we bring in and highlight gender in the study?
-What type social and behavioural indicators are we interested in?
-What outcomes?
-Do we want to predict/forecast?
On the latter point we will share some information today ahead of the meeting so as make the discussion a bit more structured. I re-attach the short synopsis regarding the care part. This is the same document I shared the last time - I have in the meantime checked literature on this and found very limited information (no doubts on the originality). I have also doubled-checked Gender and Generations data for this for feasibility and it would have the information to carry out this (more information on this during the meeting).
Best wishes,
Ricardo
